Man, I need a haircut.

To those of you that glance at the newsposts every so often this probably doesn't come as a huge surprise. I just completed my first semester working toward a degree in Animation, and I want my career and my hobbies to harmonize.

For a long time the MotA update schedule was good for me. It was an exercise in discipline, and helped me practice my drawing skills on a regular basis. But it has become confining, and my goals are changing.

In order to move forward with a MotA cartoon, I'm going to end the MotA comic.

But I want to end it on my terms. So I'm throwing the update schedule out the window officially. Allowing myself more time to script, layout, and draw the comics is the only way I'm going to get what I want out of them.

After that, I call up Tarantino.

Outline

Hey guys, I just wanted to check in and let anyone who's curious know that I've got a pretty good outline going which should give me a clear trajectory for the individual comics. The groundwork is almost complete, and I'm pretty happy with what I've come up with so far. With any luck I'll be done scripting and can begin drawing by February.

Meanwhile, check out the few animations I've posted on my youtube if you haven't seen them, or re-read the archives, which is what I've been doing a lot recently.

Hey guys, just a heads up that I've pretty much got the broad outline down, and I've begun to script the individual comics.

School Begins...

Hey, the Spring semester began February 1st, and I have to admit progress has slowed. I have about 7 comics scripted, hopefully I'll get into the rhythm of my new classes soon and making time to do this will be easier. I'll keep posting links to the stuff I make in my classes as well.

Checking in

Hey guys, I just wanted to check in and let you know I'm still around. With the beginning of classes my comicking has suffered much, but I'm getting more comfortable with my classes and am optimistic about this semester.

There are a couple new videos on my Youtube channel to check out. I might try and do a little MotA animation or something in the near future just to make sure I remember how to draw them and such.

Happy Springtime

Hey. I was just thinking, I know for a fact that if you go back into the news posts you'll find me saying at some point something along the lines of "I'll never let this comic go on indefinite hiatus, I am perfect!" So for that I have to apologize. I was so optimistic about my choice that I hardly thought about how lame it would be if a comic I liked stopped updating, even if they said it was for something potentially more awesome.

Anyway I'm feeling pretty good about school right now, and after Wednesday I'll be on Spring Break. So I was thinking instead of going to Cancun with Snoop, we'd just stay at home, he could crash on the air mattress, and we'd write a comic.

One can hope.
