'sall in the Timing

Isn't comedic timing such a strange concept in comic art? In something as seemingly stagnant as sequential frames, timing is somewhat of a miracle, no?

Soorry, I'll finish the comic later... It is very late, I'm tired, and to be honest I'm looking forward to this day off we Americans get to remember those who have lost their lives in war. I know most people probably just see it as day off, and I don't doubt that they're grateful, but I like to think I give at least some sort of a spiritual nod to the memory of the soldiers. It doesn't matter that I never knew them, it doesn't even matter if I agree with their cause or not. It's not a man or a war that needs remembering, it's a concept, the concept of honor, courage, and sacrifice. I do remember. Now I'm going to barbeque something.

Actually, now I'm going to go sleep.

Grossed Out

Ah yes, Dongbang. You know, it reoccurred to us over the weekend how ridiculous his name is. We sort of took it for granted. But then when we mentioned the name in front of a friend unfamiliar with the comic, our memory was quickly jogged.

This post is coming a bit later than usual. I was up for a good chunk of last night cleaning my bathroom, of all things. One of my roommates actually initiated the effort and I felt compelled to help him out. After all, it's my bathroom too, and by golly, it needed all the help it could get. I'm not exactly sure how we used that room before without getting completely grossed out. Just the shower floor alone was enough to make a strong man squeamish - one could actually carve into the grime with their nails. Now if you looked at it, you'd probably just think it was an old bathroom, not the germ capital of San Diego, CA that it was before.
